Ideally, the best time to schedule a visit is before you have pain. Pain is the last symptom to occur from an issue.
In addition to having pain that interrupts your day-to-day, we suggest scheduling an appointment if you have been given painkillers or taken anti-inflammatories and been told to rest with no long-term improvement, or if you have been told you have arthritis and there is nothing that can be done.
You wake up and it’s there. You get up from your chair and it’s there. You get out of your car and it’s there. You bend over to put your little one in their crib and it’s there. A simple sneeze, cough, or just walk on the beach reminds you that you are its victim.
To those of us suffering from Lower Back Pain this sounds all too familiar. Conservative estimates reveal that Lower Back Pain, the most common cause of disability for people under age of 45, robs our society of $50 Billion each and every year. Not only does it hurt but it steals the joy from our lives as we’re forced to pass up playing with our children and grandchildren, miss critical days from work, and become less and less active. All of which can lead to a downward spiral of weight gain, the loss of our job, and many ties ending in depression.
When suffering from the effects of Lower Back Pain, there comes a point of decision as to what do we do? The ease of reaching for the bottle of Advil, Tylenol, or a host of other prescription or non-prescription medications is very attractive, and the “relief,” albeit temporary, is very tempting. However, we’ve been down that road a thousand times. Temporary relief. Another pill. Temporary relief. Another pill. The cycle goes on and on and we begin to wonder, “Will this ever end? Is there another way?”
A recent study published in the prestigious medical journal Spine compared chiropractic vs medical care for low back pain: Conclusions of the study revealed the group receiving chiropractic adjustments experienced a 450% increase in the number of patient fully recovered versus the medication group. In layman’s terms that means for every 2 people that fully recover with medication, 9 people fully recovered with chiropractic care!!!
Neck pain is very common but not “normal”. It is not just part of the aging process and there are many ways to prevent, eliminate, and control neck problems. With the change in daily activities and added stress in our lives we have witnessed a great change in the posture and therefore function of the joints in the spine.
What if you could do something about neck pain? Would you do it? If the answer is yes then look no further. Chiropractic is extremely effective in the treatment of neck and back pain. Chiropractic care is noninvasive and a cost effective way to ensure a long high quality of life late into your 90’s.
*A recent 7 year study by the Task Force of Neck Pain and Its Associated Disorders; Bone and Joint Decade 2000-2010 reported that the most effective treatments for neck pain include chiropractic and acupuncture.
Living with headaches can seriously diminish your quality of life and may be an indication of larger health problems. Headaches can be treated very effectively through chiropractic and acupuncture care.
What is causing my headache? The causes of headaches are unique to each individual and can be the result many factors. Headaches can also be warning sign of something more serious and should be diagnosed and treated by a doctor, prompt diagnosis and treatment is recommended.Chiropractors and acupuncturists have been extremely successful in detecting and treating the cause of headache pain for patients. By concentrating on the cause of the headaches, chiropractic and acupuncture treatments are a much more effective and healthy alternative to drug treatments.
Do you feel “old” or by chance frustrated with questioning the cause of your hip pain. Scared a hip replacement is in your future?
Lets figure out the problem and give you body a chance to heal naturally and prevent further trouble.
Hip pain can be caused by an unleveling of the pelvis, leg length imbalance, low back subluxations, flat feet, excessively arched feet, or improper gait. Congruently untreated hip pain can lead to lower back pain, knee and foot pain, and over long term a break down in the joint tissues in the hip, knees, feet, and low back areas. Hip pain typically leads to improper movement of the hip joint causing destruction of the joint and the probability of impending joint replacement
Assessment by a Doctor of Chiropractic will include a thorough examination of joint movement including orthopedic tests, and x-rays (if needed) to determine the probable cause of hip pain. Upon completion of the exam insightful information will be given on the cause of pain and the recommended treatment. These recommendations will work to restore proper movement of the hip joint preventing further overstress to the knees, feet, and low back. Following the recommendations and receiving treatment results in a relief of pain and will prevent future episodes of pain.
The knee joint takes on a lot of stress every day. It is a stable joint that is continuously being bombarded with micro traumas. Over time the accumulation of these daily micro traumas can lead to knee pain and discomfort.
The knee is a joint that is located in the middle of the lower extremity so knee pain can be caused by improper foot support or low back and pelvic dysfunction. That is why our team will evaluate the entire lower extremity as well as the pelvis and low back. A knee problem can also affect the joints in other areas of the body and it is important to address these changes as well.
It’s best to schedule an appointment before pain occurs. If pain is limiting your day-to-day or sporting activities.

You have been told you have arthritis and there is nothing that can be done.
Pregnancy can cause a lot of discomfort for an expecting mother. That discomfort often leads to a loss of sleep creating more stress. Chiropractics can help!
One question we hear a lot is “is a chiropractic adjustment safe for my baby?” and our answer is “yes!”. Dr. Aleesa & Dr. Dean are each members of the International Chiropractors Pediatric Association (ICPA) and are certified in Webster Technique.
Not only is it safe for your baby, an adjustment could mean more space for your baby. When the pelvis is not in alignment it can restrict your baby’s movements.
We understand that this can be an unknown scary process for expecting mothers. We would be happy to answer any questions you have to ensure and encourage the best treatments for you and your baby.
Here is more information about the ICPA.

A child’s body is just like ours, except it is growing and changing at a faster rate. Many of the same issues can arise and, just like with adults, they can be adjusted.
Is it safe?
Yes. Results from a study conducted by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) reported that only a few children out of 10,000 visits experienced discomfort.
